You risk the loss of data no matter where you store it. The only thing you can do is mitigate it - for example have more than 1 backup in more than 1 location (and make them completely different)

I've got a load of phones that don't have SIMs anymore, I've never cared much for answering them to begin with, so I've never done much with them. I haven't even bothered jailbreaking my 1st gen iPhone, I just don't see the purpose (especially without a SIM). Another phone I have, a Moto L7 just seems retarded to try and hack.

Looks like there's a bunch of Shadow hints and tricks here: http://www.allshadow.com/tag/shadow/ -- includes a Windows Mobile upgrade and more accurate GPS. That combination right there might be good for stumbling wireless networks.

Looks nifty but impractical at best (and downright useless at worst). Similarly to what OP quoted, I wouldn't mind one, but I'm not entirely sure what I would do with it.

I'll pass. It's so small you'd want single hand operation, but instead you'll not be able to touch type because you have to use two.

I think it was an episode of Cowboy Bebop where there was a hacker that had two keyboards hanging on the outside of his pants pockets which I thought was pretty cool. The frogpad is perfect for this... maybe link it to a nokia n900 and a HUD type device. If you're really hardcore, use an audio interface for the blind or something and some sort of other haptic feedback mechanism. I've got an old nokia 770 laying around, but it's completely t3h suck and not worth a $100 peripheral.

I'm not entirely sure these posters are worth much; to be sure, they are an unfortunate mixture of decent-but-common-sense advice, and advice that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone.

For example.... suggesting that you simply find a random girl and shower her with expensive gifts is a bad idea. That does not work for all girls. Believe it or not, some girls don't -want- expensive gifts. Others might find a sudden deluge of expensive presents to be overwhelming. They might think you are moving too fast and break it off.

Too many generalizations in these. I make an effort not to pay too much attention to them.... although I do like the ones that don't focus on social interaction (i.e. the one featured in the first post).
